Camino for Publishers

Bring the signals of conversation to the open web

Access unique conversational signals to understand your audience and activate it through the open-web bidstream to create more valuable inventory.

How it works

Through the Camino Engine and our conversation-first ecosystem, we create unique signals based on what people ask, share and compare through conversations.

How Camino worksMany conversations flow into understanding, become signals, and create value through two outputs: Monetization (ads, yield, revenue) and Data Enrichment (profiles, behavior, context).CONVERSATIONUNDERSTANDINGSIGNALSVALUEMONETIZATIONADS / YIELD / REVENUEDATA ENRICHMENTPROFILES / BEHAVIOR / CONTEXTHow Camino worksMany conversations flow into understanding, become signals, and create value through two outputs: Monetization (ads, yield, revenue) and Data Enrichment (profiles, behavior, context).CONVERSATIONUNDERSTANDINGSIGNALSVALUEMONETIZATIONADS · YIELD · REVENUEDATA ENRICHMENTPROFILES · BEHAVIOR · CONTEXT

01 · Monetization

Enrich your bidstream

We bring relevant intent and data signals into the open-web bidstream, giving buyers additional intelligence about an impression beyond the traditional signals available on the page.

That creates an opportunity for publishers to differentiate their inventory, increase buyer value and drive stronger CPMs.

How to implement: a Prebid bidder

  1. 01

    Add the Camino bidder

Add Camino's bidder adapter to your Prebid.js build, or enable it in your Prebid Server setup.

  2. 02

    Configure your ad units

Add Camino to the ad units you want to enrich, using the IDs our team provides.

  3. 03

    Bid alongside your demand

Camino competes in the same auction as your other partners, with conversational signals attached. Nothing in your stack is replaced.

  4. 04

    Measure the lift

Track Camino's bids, win rate and CPMs in the ad server reports you already use, and see exactly how much value Camino adds to your inventory.

02 · Data

Understand your audience

Bring Camino's conversational signals into your own data environment and turn every visit into a deeper understanding of your users.

Publishers can use this intelligence to enrich audience profiles and CRM data with an additional layer of interests and intent, creating a deeper understanding of their users beyond traditional browsing behavior.

How to implement: one lightweight script

  1. 01

    Add the Camino script

Place a single tag on your pages. It loads asynchronously, so it doesn't block your content or your ad calls.

  2. 02

    Camino reads every page

The engine understands each page for meaning, not keywords, and maps every visit to interests and intent.

  3. 03

    Signals land where you work

Structured signals flow into your CRM or data platform, and into Google Publisher Provided Signals (PPS) for your programmatic buyers, with no manual mapping.

  4. 04

    Profiles get richer over time

Each return visit adds to the picture, so your understanding of every reader keeps sharpening.

Signals that start with real conversations

Camino's Conversation Signals originate from our conversation-first products and partner ecosystem, where people actively express what they need, prefer, consider and care about.

Publisher questions

What does Camino for Publishers do?
Camino turns what people ask, share and compare in AI conversations into signals, and brings those signals to the open web. Publishers can use them in two ways: to enrich the bidstream, so buyers see more than the page, and to enrich their own audience data.
What's the difference between enriching your bidstream and understanding your audience?
Bidstream enrichment adds conversational intent to the impressions you sell, through Camino's Prebid bidder. Understanding your audience brings the same signals into your own data environment, your CRM and Google Publisher Provided Signals, so you understand your readers better. You can run either one, or both.
How do I add Camino to my bidstream?
Camino connects through Prebid as a bidder. You add the Camino bidder to your Prebid setup and to the ad units you want to enrich, and it competes in the same auction as your other demand partners. See the steps.
Do I need to replace my SSP or ad stack?
No. Camino sits alongside your existing demand partners and ad server. Nothing is ripped out.
How do I bring Camino's signals into my audience data?
Add Camino's lightweight script to your pages. It loads asynchronously, reads each page for meaning and sends structured interest and intent signals to your CRM or data platform, and to Google Publisher Provided Signals. See the steps.
What is Google Publisher Provided Signals (PPS)?
Publisher Provided Signals is a Google Ad Manager feature that lets publishers share first-party audience and contextual signals with programmatic buyers, mapped to standard industry taxonomies. Buyers receive them in eligible bid requests, which helps them value your inventory.
Can I start with one and add the other later?
Yes. Bidstream enrichment and audience understanding work independently, so you can start with either and add the other when you're ready.
Where do Camino's signals come from?
From Camino's own conversation-first apps and from partner publishers, collected with consent. Where our data comes from.
